Kareem, Inc.

Hello. I am the president of Kareem, Inc. It is an unofficial company which produces programs for Windows, as well as similar versions of each for TI- (Texas Instruments-) 84 or higher calculators. Both types are free.

In reality, I am in 8th grade. Yep, I'm 13 years old. I have been interested in Microsoft Visual Basic programming for a while now and have used my skills to create over thirty programs which are available right here. Enjoy!

Recent News:
4/26/09 - Finally done! I've been working on something like FORMAT or SelfDestruct, but for the calcs. Well, I started with a cheap beta, and played it on my friend. And he fell for it! It was HILARIOUS!!! So, I constructed a full version. Check it out - it's available under both SelfDestruct and FORMAT.
4/21/09 - I've been spending lots of time progging the calc (much to the annoyance of my parents!) and have compiled several previous apps into one small but awesome package! Behold the NEW NumTools. And, of course, I updated the comp version to match! Now they include SIX utilities in one. Super useful!!!
4/5/09 - One more calc release...you know TempConvert, part of the MathCollection program? Well, now it has a calculator counterpart. Enjoy.
4/5/09 - Yes, even more! First, the calc version of Mathematicalism is released, known as MATHTEST. Then, the comp program Frenchness was updated with a checkbox for allowing just random stuff, without an answer given. Finally, the biggest one: FactorFinder, which was under the knife itself yesterday, is now part of a larger application called NumTools, which consolidates three great number functions into one: FactorFinder is the first, the second is a utility which finds prime factorizations, and the last simplifies square roots into lower radicals (this one is a life-saver in high school!!!) And I say that because, guess what, you really can use it in class - I've made the utility, in full, for TI calcs! Yay! It wasn't easy, believe me... but enjoy both versions!
4/4/09 - A ton of updates! Total remakes of Factorfinder and Sortword. Factorfinder has been re-engineered and is now over 100 times faster, and can handle numbers up to 12 digits long!!! Sortword was...well...bad, so I started from scratch. Now it's great, taking upper and lowercase letters integrated. Next, Blockhead had a small but crucial error: it never demanded focus from Windows, and so could be dealt with simply by clicking away from it. Now, it returns focus to each block, guranteeing the full effect. And finally, a massive update, super important. Check this out: those of you who know me personally know that I spend a fair amount of time, in and out of school, designing programs in my native language, B.A.S.I.C, for TI calculators. As I get better at the syntax, my programs improve in quality. So I have decided to make this website joint: computer AND calculator programs. I will match one from each for every slot, so now you can download my best calc programs along with the identical computer version. My first calc release is ALFASORT, the spinoff of the computer program with the same name. So grab your TI-84 or higher calc, get a cable, and go download it, in the same spot where you get AlphaSort for computers!

AcesJumbleZilchA fun puzzle game where you must guess a 5-digit random number based on the computer's clues.
AlphaSortSwitch around scrambled letters into alphabetical order as fast as you can using the keyboard.

BlockHeadA neat prank with wierd blocks that fill your screen, one every few seconds, increasing in size each time until your monitor is engulfed.
BouncerThis small blue rectangle bounces perfectly off your screen's edges randomly, until you stop it. You can control speed, as well as close it with a single key press. Another idea: try saving the program to the desktop, then clicking on it until you have 10 or more open! Now you can wait for an unsuspecting victim to come check their mail, and see only blobs of blue hopping around!
Character ChaosA fun little program that lets you do crazy things with text that you type or paste. You can switch letters, alternate from each box, and do other odd things that are difficult to achieve in other software.
CryptonAn incredible encryption program which turns messages into meaningless strings of numbers. It requires a password to decode, and can even rescue lost passwords!
DoubleClockFeatures a combination of a varying-color dial clock which displays system time, and a clear, easy-to-see digital clock.
FORMATAnother prank program! This is like 'SelfDestruct', except that it makes you think your hard drive is being erased! And, for all you advanced users, it even simulates disk access, and the hard drive light will be blinking away. However, it is worth noting that Using this as a prank is not recommended, and KAREEM, INC. WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING THAT RESULTS FROM THIS PROGRAM BEING RUN.

FrenchNessA convenient training program useful for anyone trying to better learn the French number system, thier dates and their times. It randomly creates a number, then gives the correct spelling in French, for practice.
Gotcha! An excellent mouse training game in which you must click a moving target a certain number of times before the clock runs out. The number of clicks increases with each level.
KOStatA simple but valuable and unique program which sorts a data set and then gives its mean, median, minimum, maximum, range, and several more statistical results.
Lucky SevenAn interesting slot-machine type game, though not very impressive - it was built in my 'early days' of programming, over two years ago. (So d
Math CollectionA full arsenal of math tools, including formulae and converters.
MathematicalismA good training program for the multiplication tables, division tables, and 1-2 digit addition and subtraction. Brush up on your mental math speed with these random problems. Also, it times you.

Get "MATHTEST," the TI-calc version

MemoryGameA memory game which tests your skills in remembering the positions of objects.
Memory MeterAn application which sits in the bottom of the screen, displaying memory information. Click anywhere away from the text to expand it and show progress bars. To close the program, click the small 'X'.
Num ToolsThis super-useful application contains the former standalone program FactorFinder, but it also boasts FIVE new utilities. It can find prime factorizations, simplify radicals, and sort into factors, and much more. All in one app!

PowerSaverThis small application could save minutes of precious battery life for your laptop! Click the window to turn your screen pitch black, reducing power usage. Then press any key or click to go back to normal when you need to work again.
ProtegoA handy one for your most important - or in danger of accidental deletion - files. Protego maintains a list of the files you choose, then discreetly backs them up. When you click 'Scan,' the program refreshes all lost files you select and makes sure the rest are safe and sound.
RandomologyA convenient app that generates random...anything: coins, numbers, dice, cards, whatever.
ReflexI built this simple game a while back, but now it has been greatly improved. You click 'Start', choose a color, and when the background changes to that color, you click stop as fast as possible. Then it tells you how fast you really were. It is interesting and fun, and the reflex speed counter is very accurate.
RemembranceMore memory stuff. This one features a quick flash of a number which you must remember as part of a chain of increasing length. Try it!.
ReVERBerationAnother French program. This one automatically conjugates (joins) any regular -ER verb in past, present, or future tense. Great for learning proper conjugation!
RobotyperA basic macro that repeatedly types a set phrase into any program - the cool part is the crazy amount of customization you can impose on the action. Check it out!
ScrambleShackOne of my most intricate designs ever, this unscrambling word game is almost certainly the winner when it comes to having fun. You have 5 minutes to unscramble as many 5-letter words as you can. If you get stuck, use a bonus letter or pass the word.
SelfDestructThis sneaky program warns that the computer will self-destruct, then counts down from 30 before blackening the screen and then closing the program automatically. It's not very believable, but inexperienced computer users should still have a heart attack. :P It is worth noting that Using this as a prank is not recommended, and KAREEM, INC. WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING THAT RESULTS FROM THIS PROGRAM BEING RUN.

Get "MEMFIX," the TI-calc version

SortWordThis 'ingeniously' named program is simply designed to sort a given list of words into alphabetical order.
TempConvertThis is just a copy of part of the Math Collection program, for easier access. It converts temperature, both ways.

Get "TEMPCONV," the TI-calc version

TicTacToeMy most complex program EVER, this TicTacToe-playing machine is not built to be nice, it is built to DESTROY you! So good luck beating it!
The MixA little matching-type trivia game to help you learn your colors!
Tricky TyperAn excellent typing training system with tips, examples, and time trials.
TrivianatorA fun trivia-question game! You have 4 choices to randomly selected questions. You get extra time for correct answers, and you lose time for incorrect ones.
UpTimerAll this timer does is count upward from zero, and you can save the number to the registry when you close it, to be resumed later. It can run for over three years continuously and not max out!
